A Touchdown To Remember By Seelie Kay

Standard

I
t takes more than a hard knock on the head to keep running back Tim Wheezer Douglas down. When life pelts him with the proverbial lemon—a career-threatening concussion—he simply runs the other way, right into the arms of litigator Laura Adler.

When a second concussion sidelines Milwaukee Greyhound running back Tim Douglas, the rest of his life continues full-speed ahead. A sometime law student, Tim is faced with a classic Catch 22: Whether to continue to play football and risk a third and possibly life-altering concussion or quit the game altogether to pursue a career as a sports agent. He loves the game, but his priorities change when he meets Laura Adler, a sassy, sexy young attorney and rabid Greys fan. Their sizzling romp of a romance turns serious and Laura demands that he make a decision about football before she accepts his marriage proposal. Will Tim choose football or the law, and what role will Laura play in his future?

Excerpt:
When the band played its last song, Laura and Tim stopped dancing and Tim kissed her forehead, leaning into her. “Not sure where we are headed from here, babe, but I am quite sure we are going somewhere.” He smiled at her, his eyes lit with what appeared to be lust. “I think I’m falling…”
Laura interrupted him. “Tim, I really don’t have time for a relationship and neither do you. You’re right in the middle of the season. And I don’t do one-nighters.”
Tim pulled Laura toward him and settled his lips over hers. His kiss was gentle at first, then became more urgent. He cupped her chin and pulled her more firmly against him, his tongue probing, then dancing in her mouth.
As Laura was pulled into the passionate kiss, she felt her resistance melting away. Her loins were heating and her heart was pounding. I want this man, naked and primed to please. Wait. No way. I am not going there. Abruptly, she pulled away.
Still holding her in his arms, Tim studied her. “You don’t wait until the time is right for relationships, Laura. You make the time when the right relationship presents itself. I am willing to make time for you. Are you willing to make time for me?”

You have turned me into a wanton woman.” “And a wanton woman is just what I need.”

Time 1850

Place An impoverished Eastern European country

Laryssa A 37-year-old woman who has been a widow since her 18-year-old daughter, Sofiya, was a baby.

Bhodan The leader of a group of bandits who travel around the countryside robbing and pillaging, and sometimes abducting pretty young women. He is bitter and angry after a vicious fight when he was young caused him to gain two livid scars across his face.

What brought them together?

Laryssa leaves her house for a short while, and returns to find that the bandits have taken her beautiful daughter, the light of her life. She is distraught, and sets off to find and rescue her. Her travels take her to the ruined castle, where the bandits hide out, and she begs Bhodan to allow her to stay as a housekeeper and bedfellow, without revealing her connection to Sofiya.

Despite the intentions of both, they find that they have a strong, sexual attraction for each other, and Bhodan gradually becomes less angry with the world and more attracted to Laryssa, a woman who shows him what love and kindness – something he has never experienced before – can do.

One day, while out robbing, Bhodan returns seriously wounded – the only one of the four bandits to return to the castle. This provides the opportunity that Laryssa has been waiting for, the chance to escape with Sofiya. But if she takes that chance then she will be leaving Bhodan to die. Laryssa is torn between love for her daughter, and the increasing feelings she has developed for Bhodan. How can she choose between the love of her daughter and probably the only chance she will ever have for love.

Such a sweet little body. No wonder the other women were jealous and drove you away.”

NOTE: This book was previously published as a short novella with the same title. It has been amended and greatly extended to more than double its length.

An excerpt from the book (Rated PG)

The icy wind penetrated the woman’s flimsy cloak and went deep into her aching bones. It was almost dark, and the dense forest on either side of the track was gloomy and menacing. The trees made a creaking, moaning noise as the wind howled through them, and there came a sound of a distant wolf, but she tried not to be afraid. She had been walking for nearly three days, and her body was so weary that she was scared that it would let her down and she would collapse here in this lonely and desolate place. Sheer willpower and thoughts of her precious Sofiya were the only things forcing her to keep placing one foot after another.

Sofiya was her joy and her reason for living. She was her vibrant and beautiful eighteen- year-old daughter, and since her husband’s death, when Sofiya was no more than an infant, there had been just the two of them, together against the harsh and unforgiving world. She would walk to the ends of the earth for her child, and right now she felt as though she was walking to the ends of the earth, but she had no choice since the night the men came and took her daughter.

She had only been away from the house for a few hours, taking care of a sick old man on the other side of the village, but it was long enough for them to gallop to her home and snatch her precious daughter. A neighbor came running to tell her that Sofiya had been taken, that four men on horseback and with daggers tucked into their waistbands had entered her house and dragged her daughter screaming to one of the horses. They had flung her over the saddle in front of one of the riders, and within minutes, had galloped away. When the woman heard the news, she sank to the floor and screamed so much that people came running from far and wide to find out what evil had occurred that someone should cry out with such pain and anguish.

One of the men, new to the village, said he was afraid that Sofiya had been taken by a band of criminals known for stealing cattle and treasure from wherever they could find it, and that they also took away pretty young women who caught their eye. He had heard of such events from people in his previous village, and the women they took were not heard from again. Some said that they were sold into slavery in faraway places.

On hearing this, the woman fainted.

When she recovered consciousness, she knew that she must find Sofiya and rescue her from whatever terror and degradation that would come from being with such men. Life without her daughter could not be contemplated. She collected some food and her cloak, and set out to find her daughter, uncertain where to go and how far she must travel.

The first night was spent in a shed with some goats, who at least provided her with some warmth, and the second with a sympathetic and kind old woman who shared her meagre supper and allowed her to curl up in front of her fire for the night. If it hadn’t been for her kindness, she feared that she might not be here now. But the night was coming again, and she dreaded the coming hours of darkness, without food or heat or shelter. She had seen no habitation for many hours and began to sink into a deep despair as she contemplated her fate. Would she die out here on this lonely track, perhaps eaten by the wild animals that surely inhabited the forest?

Just as she was about to surrender to the exhaustion and the pain in her body, she thought she detected a light through the trees. Turning a corner in the road, a large, gloomy, old castle loomed ahead; part of which was in ruins, giving it an abandoned appearance. However, the sight of a faint light coming from one of the narrow windows on the upper floor showed her that the castle was likely inhabited.

Could this be the place she was seeking?

Apart from the light in the upstairs window, there were no other signs of occupation. It looked abandoned and menacing. There may have been extensive grounds around the castle once, but now a small area of rough ground was the only open area, surrounded by dense forest that was slowly creeping towards the building, ready to reclaim it for its own.

The woman knew that there was no point in going to the entrance and begging for the release of her daughter, if this was indeed where she was being held captive. The men holding Sofiya would almost certainly laugh in her face and send her packing. She needed to convince them to let her enter the castle and stay a while so that she could work on a plan to rescue her daughter from their clutches. And how she begged the gods above for her daughter to be within these walls so she had not made the long and tortuous trip in vain.

She reached the heavy oak door and tugged the bell pull, the sound echoing in the corridors beyond. For a long time it seemed as though the bell was going to be ignored, but eventually the woman heard a shout from above. Looking up, she saw a man staring down at her from an open window.

She offered him everything, in her desperate search for her daughter.

An excerpt from the book (rated R)

Back in the kitchen, she cleared up, then took some heated water from the stove and poured it into a bowl. She desperately wanted to wash herself and took the bowl into the corner of the kitchen and began to clean her body, using a rag she had found. She removed her dress and washed as best she could whilst still wearing her petticoat. The hot water felt so good against her skin. She turned and saw Bhodan standing in the doorway, watching her.

His eyes were dark pools and his chest was rising with shorter breaths than usual. Laryssa saw desire in his face. She steeled herself to gaze calmly at him. The time that she had dreaded since arriving at the castle was upon her.

“Come,” was all he said, and then he turned and walked away.

Laryssa took a deep breath and followed the man with the scarred face. It was strange, she thought, but the scars no longer seemed repulsive. How quickly she had become used to them. It wasn’t the scars that bothered her now. She now had to fulfill the bargain she had made when she arrived, and her stomach was churning with thoughts of what she was about to do, but she could not go back now. Her daughter depended on her.

She followed Bhodan into his room. There was a large bed in the center of it, with a chest against one of the walls, and a small table and chair against another. Laryssa was horrified to see on the table a leather belt, and a long, flexible birch stick.

Bhodan, closing the door behind her, saw the look on her face. He stood very close to the trembling woman and ran his hand lightly down her front, stopping to caress her breast beneath the thin layer of her undergarment. Looking intently into her face, he said, “I don’t think those will be needed tonight. All I want at the moment is to sink into that cunt of yours. After so many years of neglect, I think I shall receive a warm welcome there.”

A shiver travelled down Laryssa’s body. It was partly fear, but she was ashamed to admit to herself that it was also partly anticipation for a feeling that she had not experienced in so long. There was something about this wild, nearly handsome man, with his gruff manner, that caused unexpected and unfamiliar shivers in that most neglected part of her body, and it disturbed her.

“Take off your clothes.” Bhodan turned and began removing his own clothes. Laryssa removed her petticoat and waited with downcast eyes. The naked Bhodan strode towards her, his cock now stiff and leading the way. He lifted her chin with his hand.

“You may not have the body of a girl, but you have a body that any man would want to sink into. Don’t be modest. Lie on top of the bed and let me look at you.”

She did as she was instructed, trying to calm the thumping of her heart. Bhodan looked down at her, his erection clearly demonstrating his desire. He ran his hand down her belly and down one of her legs before returning it up the inside of the other leg. It came to a halt as he reached her groin. He slid it towards her sex and, parting her labia, pushed his finger into her and gently swirled it around.

She was already moist with a desire that she tried not to feel, but was incapable of preventing. Had she become a harlot so easily?

Bhodan leaned close to her ear and whispered in a way that seemed so intimate, Laryssa’s breath caught in her throat. “I see that you are more than ready for me.”

Author Biography

I write erotic romances as Juliette Banks, but some of you may also know me as the author Rachel de Vine. I am British and live in a beautiful rural part of England. However, I also like travelling to remote and unusual parts of the world, and have visited places as diverse as Tibet, Bhutan, Peru, Namibia and China. Our world is so beautiful and I hope that it will always remain so, and I see myself as being so lucky to have the freedom to travel that was denied many previous generations. I hope I never take it for granted.

I write mainly romances, because I am an incurable romantic, and I write erotic romances because I am always attracted to the sexuality and sensuality that is within so many of us. I like to write about interesting characters who often have to survive life’s challenges before they can reach the happy ending they deserve.

HOW TO SMART URL

Standard

so I was doing book promos for fellow authors and a few needed to do last minute changes to the url or just add them last minute so i put this together to show how to do it without worrying if they can get to it before it posts

This is a way to get a url to use when you haven’t released your book yet but want to have your blog promo out and ready to go.

One go to smart url https://manage.smarturl.it/ and create an account it takes an email and password then a reply to there email.

smart1

Then go and log in.

you will come to this page

smart4

Click country. (mostly I don’t know what the others do)

Then go to your default. (I used my amazon author page)

smart5

Copy the url from  the page you chose

and put it in default box.

smart6

Then scroll down.

smart7

I tend to make it something to do with the book(if it goes through this will be your url)

then click save.smart8

Now you have an url to put in to your pages you send for blog and wouldn’t need to have someone add it later.

When you get the book url. (presale or it goes live)

Go back to smarturl.it and log in.

smart9

Click on the link for the book url you made before.

smart 10

Copy your book link. (I use us because that’s where I am at)

Teresa Noelle Roberts writes erotic romance and romantic erotica for passionate people who like tales of true love on the spicy side. Also a poet and fantasy writer, she has a particular fondness for paranormal and fantasy tales in which the romantic, the supernatural, and of course the erotic mingle. She’s also drawn to things kinky.

Born in the Finger Lakes region of New York, she now lives in southeastern Massachusetts with her own personal hero and a clowder of exceedingly large cats. LeTeisha Newton: So I think this is the part where I’m supposed to say something super cool, win you over, and make you my life-long superfan…OR wait, is that how I am about my anime collection?

Probably.

Basically, I’m an author, blogger, geek, and villain lover (Joker IS MINE!). There shouldn’t be any surprise then that I tend to love my heroes a bit broken, all messed up, and in need of someone who understands them just the way they are.

Ha, my heroines are right there with them. You see, love is nice, it’s sweet. It can be all rainbows and glowing stars. And then it can be dark, twisted, hurtful, and feel so good you have to scream about it. So I write like that. From one side of the spectrum to the other, because that’s real. That’s life. And that’s what we crave–-delving into a fantasy world or not.

Sadly, Amanda passed away in July 2016.  When she wasn’t plotting ways to sneak her latest shoe purchase past her partner, Amanda wrote sexy, snarky romance and urban fantasy. She liked her heroines smart and unafraid to make mistakes, and her heroes strong enough to take them on.

JD Frettier is the nom de plume of USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer Theriot. Being a child of the 1960s and Woodstock era, she was elated when a quirky couple spoke to her, requesting their love story be told. It was an offer she couldn’t refuse and so decided to venture into the world of paranormal via “channeling” with her debut novella, Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine. JD’s laptop and mind are now open to new characters, and she’s already interviewed a new character for a future project.

The Artist

By Juliette Banks

Hello Dab10, and thanks for having me on your blog today. I would love to tell you about my new book The Artist. Some of you will know me as Rachel de Vine, but my next book, The Artist, is being released under a new name of Juliette Banks. Let me show you the cover of the new book.

TheArtistCover

Here is the blurb:

Lizzie is a pretty, but quite simple village girl when circumstances lead her to the artist, Theo. She made a bad marriage to Lionel, a man who mistreated her, and who then threw her out when she refused to sell her body on the streets for him. Now she is trying to make her way alone.

Theo is the rebellious son of a Viscount, who left his privileged background to pursue his chosen career as an artist. His favourite subjects are pretty young women whom he paints in the nude. He is delighted, therefore, when the beautiful Lizzie knocks on his door one day and offers her services as a model.

It is only a matter of days before the mutual attraction ignites between them and they become lovers. Despite village gossip, they are happy. Until Lionel, hearing that his wife is now living with the artist, erupts in a jealous rage and snatches her back while Theo is away and unable to protect her.

Upon finding Lizzie gone, Theo sets off in hot pursuit, determined to find the model for whom his feelings are growing daily. He soon catches up with Lizzie and Lionel, but during the hot-headed rescue, things take a tricky turn with an unexpected consequence.

Lionel is dead.

Unwilling to be charged with murder, and possibly hanged, Theo and Lizzie flee to Italy, where they try to start a new life together. But the past has a way of catching up with everyone, and they are no exception.

Can the love between a son of a Viscount and an illiterate country girl survive after such a troubled start? And will they have to face justice for the murder of Lizzie’s husband?

This is an erotic tale of a young couple in mid-nineteenth century England and Italy, with some explicit themes, including spanking.

“You are corrupting me, Theo.”  “But you like being corrupted, don’t you, sweet girl?”

Here is an excerpt from the book.

It was pure chance that he picked Oak Lane to stroll down. It was a pretty walk, with magnificent, fully-grown oak trees that gave it its name, and a stream meandering in the dip by the side of the road amongst the trees. Just before he reached the farm entrance, he spotted movement below him. Creeping a little closer he realized it was Lizzie, having her morning wash in the stream, and he darted behind one of the trees to watch without being seen. It was foolish to hide, he told himself, when he could look at that wonderful body all day while he painted her. But there was something wonderfully erotic in spying in secret his little flame-haired model, performing her morning ablutions. She clearly thought herself completely hidden from prying eyes, for there was not a trace of inhibition in her movements.

Lizzie was standing ankle deep at the edge of the water, and had tucked her skirt up on either side of her body to avoid it getting wet. The blouse she wore on the top half of her body was unbuttoned halfway down her chest, and the soft roundness of the top of her breasts were peeking out through the gap. She had a rag in her hand and pushed it down the opened buttons and under her arms. The dampness from the rag caught against the front of the blouse and made the material stick to her breasts, causing her nipples to stand to attention. That was not the only thing that was standing to attention. In his trousers, Theo felt his cock expanding and straining against the rough material.

A bird chirped on one of the branches above Lizzie’s head, and she raised her face to look up at it. Her pose, with her mass of auburn hair flowing backwards down her back, lips open and breasts pushing outwards against her blouse, made the artist in Theo want to paint her in such a pose, and made the man in Theo want to fuck that woman so badly he was afraid he might come in his trousers.

Having washed her upper body, Lizzie now concentrated on the lower half. Theo was unsure whether he could safely watch without giving himself away by a sigh or a groan. She bent forwards to rinse the rag in the water, away from where Theo was hidden, and he caught a glance of her perfect, shapely bottom peeking out from the bottom of her skirt. What a glorious arse, he thought to himself, and what he wouldn’t give to bring the palm of his hand down on that soft, creamy flesh, leaving the imprint of his hand on her behind.

In his usual insouciant way, and careless of whether anyone was watching, Theo slid his hand down the front of his trousers and massaged his cock while Lizzie pushed the rag up the front of her skirt and through her thighs, to clean the area where Theo longed for his cock to be right now. He closed his eyes for a moment and imagined his own hand reaching up between her legs and around her sweet little quim. When he opened them again, Lizzie was already walking out of the stream, pulling her skirt back down and buttoning her blouse. Theo pulled back behind the tree in case she looked up towards the lane and saw him. When next he dared to look, she had gone. He walked quickly to reach his home so that he could relieve the ache in his groin. If he didn’t get rid of that erection before Lizzie arrived at mid-day he doubted that he would be able to control himself in her presence, and he didn’t want to scare her away. No, he had best finish his picture first before he gave in to his baser desires.

She found him intriguing and a little dangerous.  He found her irresistible.
